Durham, NC: Foster's and Fuqua at Duke University

For my first lunch in North Carolina, Gary suggested Foster's, a cute market/deli near Duke's campus where many students go to hang out and study. Gary was in the middle of relocating from Raleigh to Charlotte so we had to wait for the movers to come in the morning before going off on our day. After all the boxes and furniture were loaded, we headed to Durham.

Me wants some pecan pie! But instead I odered a portobello mushroom sandwich with sauteed spinach, carmelized onions and provolone on focaccia. This is the half I didn't eat to save room for BBQ later!

Turns out, Foster's also has specials for Thursday nights. It smelled so good when we were sitting outside on the patio. Mmmm...looking forward to dinner...

Next we headed to Duke University. I love visiting college campuses. I almost went to Fuqua...but Cornell was calling. =)

The Duke Chapel and a close up of Mr. Duke (love that he's holding a cigar!)

Chapel doors and inside the chapel

Fuqua! Outside and the main atrium. Lots of white...

Eh, all business school classrooms look about the same

He, he, I'm making fun of Mr. Fuqua ;)
